Recreational
Our Recreational Program consists of self-paced month-to-month classes that start with a variety of parented and non-parented Kinder Program classes that progress to our Foundations Program for ages six and older. The monthly tuition costs for all recreational classes are based on four classes per month. Monthly tuition costs are automatically prorated when more or less classes are offered in a month due to the number of days in the month or holiday-related gym closures. Our Recreational Program is freely accessible, based on readiness and skill level. It is our philosophy that every child’s placement instills confidence, perseverance and determination and at the same time challenges their physical skills and mental abilities.
Please use the Register Now button to register your child for one of our recreational gymnastics classes in our self-serve customer portal. Not sure what program to choose? Contact us at 403-774-7322 or at info@kingymnastics.com, and we can help ensure your gymnast is placed in the most age and skill-appropriate class.
Kinder Program
Our Kinder Program is the ideal start to physical activity for preschool aged children and starts with parented and non-parented Kinder Program classes, moving aspiring young gymnasts from weeKin, to miniKin, and munchKin. These classes allow for the development of patterning, spatial awareness and problem solving as athletes are encouraged to explore space and equipment in a safe manner. They progress at their own rate and are identified by stage of development rather than age. Athletes are introduced to activities and skills that help develop social, physical and cognitive abilities. Athletes develop self-confidence, self-expression and group social skills, as well as processing instruction from adults outside of the home. Agility, balance and co-ordination are developed through the learning of fundamental movement patterns, including landings, static positions, locomotions, rotations, swings, springs and object manipulation. Development of gross motor skills includes running, jumping, climbing, rolling, twisting and catching. If you are looking for toddler and preschool gymnastics in Calgary, you are in the right place!

Foundations Program
The Foundations program allows athletes to learn and develop gymnastics skills and progressions based on Gymnastics Canada’s Fun, Fitness and Fundamentals educational philosophy, without the need to specialize in Gymnastics as a sport. As athletes advance through the various Foundation levels, they establish sound basic skills on gymnastics apparatus, posture and core-strength. This prepares athletes for more advanced gymnastics programs and for the transition of these skills to other sports.
Our Foundations Program is designed to seamlessly transition to either the Xcel Program or Development Program, both of which are nationally recognized competitive Women's Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) programs. Foundations Levels 1-2 and Foundations Levels 3-4 are available for athletes ages 6-8, and ages 9+. All Levels 1-2 and 3-4 classes are 60 mins/wk to suit both your schedule and budget. Advanced classes run for 90 or 120 min/wk to allow for extra training time.

Foundations 1-2
Ages 6-8, or 9+
60 mins/wk
Basic gymnastics is a great place for your athlete to get started. The first two levels focus on fun and participation with activities aimed at enhancing physical and emotional literacy.

Ages 6-8, or 9+
60 mins/wk
In Foundations 3-4 athletes will learn how to properly use all of the gymnastics equipment. Athletes are introduced to sport ethics and gym rules as well as movement patterns and skills that instil self-confidence.
This class helps develop more complex skills and assists with the development of social behaviour in a group or team setting.

Ages 4-6, 6-8, or 9+
90 mins/wk
Foundations Advanced is a great place for your athlete to continue to develop their gymnastics skills. Class time is spent working on more advanced skills on bars, beam, floor, and vault/trampoline.
This class is tailored to transition recreational athletes to the competitive Xcel Program.
Foundations Master
Ages 6+
120 mins/wk
This two-hour program is designed for athletes who have mastered the Foundations Advanced curriculum and want to continue building their gymnastics skills in a challenging and rewarding recreational environment. Foundations Master allows participants to further refine technique, strength, flexibility, and confidence on all four events while continuing to develop at their own pace. The program is ideal for gymnastics enthusiasts who enjoy the sport and want to pursue higher-level skills and training without committing to the Competitive Gymnastics pathway, while still keeping that option open for the future should their goals evolve.
